Interesting fact

Bette Nesmith Graham (March 23, 1924 – May 12, 1980) was an American typist, commercial artist, and the inventor of the correction fluid Liquid Paper ( Tippex ) She was the mother of musician and producer Michael Nesmith of The Monkees.

Ah yes. Saturday morning, Irish TV, kids/teens programme from 9am to 12pm. Used to start with arts and crafts for the kiddies, then an episode of something like The Little Rascals, then my favourite The Monkees, and end with pop music for the teens.

RIP Mike

R.I.P. Geoff Rowe

A typical Jethro gag

I’d been out drinking til 4.15 in the morning and there’s the Barsteward wife waiting on the doorstep with a broom. She didn’t seem to like it when I asked her ‘Are you late finishing cleaning or are you going for a flight?’

:D

I heard about him a few times over the years, and in the 1980s it was almost like a myth - we had the usual funny-while-offensive comedians like Manning and Chubby Brown - but I had friends up here in the North telling me that Jethro was the best there was. Didn't hear much but what I did hear was good, and it didn't make you feel grubby because his humour didn't feel like it was there to outrage.

Didn't he have a hit single or am I dreaming it?
