When you retire, you switch bosses - from the one that hired you, to the one that married you.
Re: The departed 2
Sad indeed, we used to have an old Inspector who we named Boycie as he was a ringer. OFAH in my top 3 funnies and Challis played his part in that.

Yes we lost another of the 1966 World cup squad.
Saw him playing several times at Elland Road and Anfield, 1965 FA cup final, and the last time in 1973 playing for a touring team in Southern Africa.
The touring team was managed by a West Brom coach, just forget his name. He invited several well known players for the team, Also in the team were Fulham England full back George Cohen, one of the Springett brothers in goal, also our own Jim Storrie who's goals contributed to the Revie team gaining promotion from the old div 2.
He was in the top 3 goalscorers for several years in the 1960's an important part of the Liverpool team of that period.

Make that 3 Australian Cricket deaths in the last 3 days as Peter Philpott aged 86 died. He played 8 tests for Australia in 1965 and 1966. He made his debut against West Indies and his final game was against England. He was also a coach for Yorkshire and Surrey in England and worked in a coaching role for the England National side in the 1990's. RIP Peter
