Andrew Weatherall, one of the UK's most respected DJs and record producers, has died aged 56. Produced Screamadelica so clearly a hero of music making although a lot of his stuff passed me by.

A richly talented and very interesting musical figure, Weatherall. I'm no fan of Primal Scream myself, but some of his other stuff was great, especially the out and out dancey/house material. I liked that he always had such a broad spectrum of influences from dub to soul, punk to techno .. he only ever saw music as a question of quality rather than genre.

Not really famous but an important member of England's 1966 medical team, Alan Bass passed away a few days ago.
There's light at the end of the tunnel and the future's looking very bright indeed.

And.... the three eyed raven in the Game of thrones lets not forget. Some good roles he's had over the years and a very recognizable face although i personally had to look up his name. RIP
