Shame he only got 8 caps for England, he deserved more but didn't fit in with the establishment.
I read his biography "One Hump or Two?" many years ago, it's certainly an eye-opener
RIP Frank
There's light at the end of the tunnel and the future's looking very bright indeed.
Back in the eighties i was playing Sunday football at Withdean Stadium where Brighton had a spell of playing, it was home also then of the Brighton American Football team and after our game they were playing, Frank Worthington was in the bar when we went in and joined us for beer, what a character he was, he came over as a decent bloke, he was there to promote and kick the match off.

At work this week a colleague is wearing a Beautiful Marvin Hagler Tee shirt. When I told him how I admired it he started telling me that as a boy growing up in the town of Brockton, Marvin would run down his street every day training, after a while he allowed all the boys to run with him.
Asking about the shirt, someone knows someone, I've got one coming for free.

I will bow the next time we meet mate.
For all his embarrassing quotes over the years, I actually liked him - I know there are a lot of 'republicans' out there who won't resist some sarcastic comment about him dying but regardless of that classless sort of stunt, it's the end of an era. RIP

Think you are correct there will be a few silly types who think mocking death is funny.
