Yeah, me too. He was great as Frodo but that was his defining role for me.

Author Carlos Ruiz Zafon has died. If you haven’t read The shadow of the wind or any of the other 3 books in the series I can fully recommend them all. Shadow of the wind is a classic. RIP

Sir Everton Weekes aged 95 sadly passed away, he was one of the West Indian great batsman in the 1950's, he was part of the 3 W's. RIP
Owners come and go but Leeds United will be there forever, for the fans - keep Marching on Together.

I read the BBC obituary and learnt a couple of things, the first being that his father named him after Everton football club who was his favourite team. Jim Laker once remarked that "it was just as well his Dad didn't support West Bromwich Albion".
And I never knew that David Murray was his son - the reserve keeper to Deryck Murray for much of his career and one who took the rebel tour route to South Africa for financial security but sadly I am not sure he then spent his money wisely with a drug addiction and living back on the streets for some time.

RIP Everton

Chadwick Boseman, RIP.

Died of cancer at a terribly young age.
Amazingly talented actor with real range, not just another "superhero".
Witness his performance as James Brown in the finest biopic I've ever seen, Get On Up, to see for yourself.

Tragic and yet another layer of misery for 2020.
