I don’t want to play Devil’s Advocate, but aren’t they all assuming soacial distancing (assuming all those in bunches are in the same household).Selby White wrote:For me it's a case ofNottinghamWhite wrote:How selfish is this bring in total lockdown

I’m fortunate enough to have a big garden, but I do feel for those in apartments and flats in these warmer times, and I don’t see too much wrong as long as the social distancing measures are maintained.

Re: Coronavirus
I'm amazed at how many cars I see parked up in Bradford and Leeds of a night time with 3 or 4 lads inside just talking. Sometimes even 2 cars side by side so as many as 6 lads all within touching distance of each other.NottinghamWhite wrote:How selfish is this bring in total lockdown

It's these idiots that won't do as they are asked and stay indoors that will make the virus last a couple of months longer than it should and cost hundreds, if not thousands, of lives in the extra weeks it's around
There's light at the end of the tunnel and the future's looking very bright indeed.

Not sure the lads playing football are but that's irrelevant as the Government directive is clear as I see it.Barlow Boy wrote:I don’t want to play Devil’s Advocate, but aren’t they all assuming soacial distancing (assuming all those in bunches are in the same household).Selby White wrote:For me it's a case ofNottinghamWhite wrote:How selfish is this bring in total lockdown

"Only leave your home once per day to exercise (walk, jog, dog walk & cycle) but only with members of your own household.
Or for essential shopping.
Or front line workers."
And do these things while social distancing.
Cant recall them mentioning its OK to sunbathe, picnic, play sports, etc.
The message that gets home to me is the one that says" Don't go out and less people will die".
If our governments experts are overreacting so are virtually every country in the world.
Agree its hard for those without gardens but it's a lot tougher on those suffering this horrible virus and those on the front line.
Just heard on the news that one park in London had around 3000 people yesterday many hanging around in groups, truly shocking.

Re: Coronavirus
The lads/families playing football could be from the same household as far as we know, if they aren’t then that is clearly wrong and cannot be condoned by anyone.
My wife and I are, literally, following the rules to the letter, my car has not moved off the drive since the lockdown, we are taking our one exercise a day by taking the dog for a walk together, we also have a large garden to sit outside and potter about. Some are not as fortunate though, stuck in small flats, apartments and houses without gardens. Yes, the rules are there and clearly sunbathing is not on the agenda, but if folk keep their distance from each other I don’t see a bigger problem as others do. As for groups of lads sitting in cars, that’s ridiculous, not social distancing and they should be dispersed.

I walk to work and back home, 3.3 miles either way and despite it being quiet on the roads, quiet on the streets etc I see more than 2 people together pretty much everyday, absolutely bonkers. It's hard not to say something at times. Even yesterday, I went up to Morrisons in Morley and saw a family of 4, I mean seriously?!

Very much same with us except one of us goes to the supermarket about every 9 or 10 days and give the car a blast up the bypass at the same time to turn the engine over.Barlow Boy wrote:

Sad part is have you seen price of petrol/diesil, lowest for ages when don't need any .

Re: Coronavirus
We finished 2 weeks self isolation on Wednesday none of us set foot out of the house the whole time. Tracey and myself are now working from home and following the guidlines. I'm amazed at Matthew he has his gaming PC but was never one for stting at it all the time, he's more the outdoor sporty type he's been cooped up for 3 weeks now no school, football training or matches and no gym which he was going to 4 or 5 times a week but he's staying positive. Had a delivery left at the back gate last week, a lonf retangular box, went to lift it and near did my back in. He'd gone and bought a set of weights.
