There's a good show about Project Restart on Sky,
it features the preparations for Manchester City.

One part of the sanitation was to use a commercial fogging machine to deep clean the gym equipment.
Although it can last for up to 8 weeks, the pros were doing it every 3 weeks just to be sure, to be sure.

I imagine LUFC use similar.

Leicester put back in lockdown following spike in cases in the last week or so.
Apparently 10% of England's new cases in the last week were in Leicester.
That's a high percentage for a city with a population of 300,000 in a country of over 50mill.

Wonder if that effects the football?

Our best friends live at Oadby & were champing at the bit for lock down to finish, guess they are going be waiting a while longer now. They’re very active like theatre & cinema once a week & dine out regularly so they are all ready stir crazy. Both early 70’s & last week they found out they are to be grandparents for the first time. Hopefully that’ll help.

Thought that myself, Leicester are supposed to be playing Crystal Palace at home on Saturday.

3 options

1. Still play in Leicester as no one can go to the games, maybe helicopter players into ground although that may bring up bad memories for Leicester after what happened to their previous owner.

2. Play at neutral venue close to Leicester, provided there is one available.

3. No fans anyway, no real home ground advantage, play at Palace!

The below statement was released by Wigan Council yesterday.

Professor Kate Ardern, director of Public Health, said: “Following the government’s decision to introduce a local lockdown in Leicester, we have been made aware that the media is sharing a list of places that could be next, including Wigan.

“The figures being quoted are weekly case increases, without any wider context. So for example, in the last week we only recorded two new cases, compared to zero cases the week before. Our 7-day infection rate is 3.7 per 100,000 people compared to Leicester’s rate of 135 per 100,000. We also currently have the sixth lowest rate of cases in Greater Manchester and cases in Wigan have only accounted for 0.3% of all national cases this week.

“The way this information has been pulled together is misleading, unhelpful and irresponsible. I’d like to reassure our residents that we monitor all cases through our daily Covid-19 tracker which we’ll be sharing publicly on our website shortly so all residents can see clear, accurate, up to date information which should help put their minds at ease, but to be clear judging by our latest figures, I don’t think we can expect a local lockdown any time soon.

Sounds like the press doing their usual of "if they don't have a negative story make one up".
