Posh nosh

Post by NottinghamWhite »

Next month is our silver wedding anniversary as it’s doubtful restaurants won’t be open & even if they are the chances are we will still be in lockdown. So my question is there any gourmet meal deliveries. Don’t mind having to cook it but would like some quality produce. As The Beatles would say “ HELP “

Bit earlier for us but 1st anniversary coming up this month (is it really a year) and would be normally going out for a meal.

So we are just going to make it a full day celebration at home starting with a full English breakfast. We have a bottle of Champagne ready for the afternoon and hoping weather will allow us to sit out in the garden.
Early Evening meal and still debating what but currently Lamb Shank is a strong possibility along with a nice selection of veg.
Later in the evening planning a cheeseboard with our favourite cheeses along with a bottle of good quality red.

When Sue & I met her friends tried to stop our relationship saying it wouldn’t work, which made us all the more determined to give it a go. 25 years on & we’re together :D

Cathy's sons restaurant is doing takeaways but Henley is a bit too far as its collection only. They did do a postal option with vacuum packed but stopped last month or we would have gone to them as its fine dinning special occasion food.
Takeaways have done well though and they are considering keeping it going once the restaurant opens properly.

I’ve looked at all the top restaurants around here World Service, Harts & Sat Baines but they’re not doing anything they’ve just shut up shop.
Still of push comes to shove the local chip shops open

Would be perfect for ours, 1st year is paper so a bit of land and sea wrapped in newspaper will do just fine. :D
