I can remember when the Saturday evening Yorkshire Post was a creamy/yellow colour. The Yorkshire Evening News was green.
I once played against Don Revie.

John, that must have been before the Evening News folded, I don't go back that far with the sport edition.
As a boy I remember my parents having the Post delivered daily and our neighbour having the Evening news, we would exchange previous days paper.
Also remember when we went to Bradford to watch Park Avenue or City they had their 'Pink un'.

Yesterday got talking to a neighbour and suggested we should celebrate Yorkshire Day and suggested they come to our garden after evening meal.

Ended up with 5 households (10 people) with their own chairs on our lawn, we started the celebrations at 6-30pm and finally everyone left at 1am. Am a little delicate this morning :shh:

Just cleared the lawn of empty wine and beer bottles, a great night was had be all.
I do like our cul-de-sac, great neighbours.
