Landline do you have one ?
We have one we’ve never used because it comes with the Virgin package. Haven’t used one for 7-8 years now. Couldn’t even tell you our number probably starts 01159....

The same, or similar at least, we have one as it comes with the BT Broadband, BT Sport package etc.
I’ve never dialled out on it, and the only person who rings us on it is my dad

Same.
I called Virgin about it about four years ago and they told me I could get rid of it if I didn't want it, but it actually costs more as a package NOT to have it.
I'm gonna change my broadband soon as they're taking the mick with the price these days.
When I do, I'll lose the landline altogether.

Never not had a landline. Use it all the time. Never use my mobile, only keep it in the car in case I break down.
I once played against Don Revie.

My dad has a unique way of using his mobile, it’s generally switched off (“to save the battery”), and only switched on to make a call, it is then immediately switched off again.johnh wrote:Never use my mobile, only keep it in the car in case I break down.
So, if I miss a call from my dad and try to ring him back, it goes straight to voicemail.

It does. Mine and my better half's parents - late 70s/early 80s - are wary of mobile phones due to their "extortionate cost" and keep them turned off until they need to use them. I have a landline because of them.johnh wrote:Sounds familiar that.Barlow Boy wrote:My dad has a unique way of using his mobile, it’s generally switched off (“to save the battery”), and only switched on to make a call, it is then immediately switched off again.johnh wrote:Never use my mobile, only keep it in the car in case I break down.

Yes we have one but haven't had a phone to plug into it for at least 8 years.

We have one but every time it rings, there is no reply or response, waste of time really always use the mobiles anyways. Can ring out on it though with no problems
