A guy who I worked with for many years played Creedence everyday at work.
He was a Vietnam Veteran, a Crew Chief/flight engineer on the medi-vac helicopters, say's the music is what got him through it.
Great band.

When it comes to music I am stuck in a time zone, you got to excuse me for that.
So I'm talking dance music from the mid/late 60's. If you walked into any 'mod' dance hall/club from that era, this is what you would hear.
This was the original mod scene, not the mod revival and Northern soul scene of the 70's, which besides their own music they also inherited some of these oldies.

Desmond Dekker

Elgins

I lost a couple I had to edit out.

Inez and Charlie Foxx on this one.
I saw them headline a soul festival at Skegness Town Football Ground of all places. A bunch of us from Leeds and Wakefield went on our scooters for the weekend. We ran into trouble with rockers even before we got into town, there was a lot of trouble that weekend. We hooked up with a great crowd of Mods from Nottingham and leicester, had a blast that weekend.

Bought The Smiths, Hatful of Hollow, on Vinyl a while back.
Peeled it out of it's cover for the first time yesterday and put it on. Aaaah, that vinyl sound, brings back memories.

Tempted to buy a new turntable, but too nostalgic to relegate my Grannies old Reynolds record player, the bog standard 1970's version.

A bit of Fleetwood Mac this morning, early stuff though with Peter Green, more blues than pop.
