I've invested some small amount in crypto.
7-10 years ago i've been told of this new idea called bitcoin - a completly digital currency that is decenteralized. Back then i started to get interested in the ideology behind it and constantly check the exchange rate. It was really voletile, but on it's day one could buy a bitcoin for as little as 150$, the average was probably around 300-350$. I got really excited and decided i want to buy 1 or 2 coins if only to support the idea. I went to my cousin who's a real tech guy (he also knew much more about bitcin than i did) and he warned me that it is probably not a good place to invest my money at. I was 18-21 yo with not much personal funds, so i let it go knowing that i got an advice from the person around me who knows about this stuff more than anyone else.
Now a single bit coin worth around 50k$ .
I left the crypto world for a long period while it went high, then dropped low, then high again, and so on...
a few months ago i decided to invest a small sum for fun and experience after i read a lot into the idea behind block chain as a whole and some currencies in specific, i bought everything around 3 days before the huge drop that occured lately .
Bought some extra coins when the value was around the low of the late period. Only now im about to break even with my total investment (still couple of dozens short of breaking even).
I'd probably start investing small amounts every now and then when the market is low in my understanding as im a big believer in the technology of block chain (that's block chain as a whole and not just the monetization. the governing possibilities that the technology is opening, trasperency, etc.)
