I have one biological child (daughter whose 4) and 4 step children who are all in their 20's (22-27yrs old) = 5 all up if we going by the letter of the law. I was hoping for all the children of Israel :lolno:

Two sons, now 60 and 58 then a big gap and two daughters now 50 and 49. Everything worked out just how we wanted it, very lucky. Two sons born in Leeds, two daughters in Maidenhead.

Lovely ages a pigeon pair as they used to say ;)
Never heard that expression.

They call it a gentleman's family around where I live, but had never heard of that before the kids either.

One daughter with my present wife. I always wanted kids but my previous two spouses didn’t. I started late, 45 when Matilda was born, still catching up on the sleep now, 10 years later.

I have a 12 year old daughter and 9 year old son. Quite glad they came that way round. If I'm honest it's been a breeze so far raising them as they're both good natured and easy going, but with teenage years just around the corner we're not naive enough to think that won't change.

One son, Tom, 24 now. I'm lucky that he chose to live near me in Bristol. He lives about a mile away so he's close enough for me to be able to pop round when I've got an excuse but far enough away to live his own life. He teaches creative Virtual Reality computer stuff. It's over my head but he enjoys it.

In case you’ve never heard of a pigeon pair before, it’s used to describe a family that has just 2 children: either a boy and girl as ‘singles’, or twins that are a boy and girl.
