I don't know if anyone else watches any art programmes such as Sky's Portrait Artist of the Year but anyway, there are often artists on who use their phones to photo a subject to then paint a portrait with the help of the grid method.
Does anyone know an app to add a grid to photos? I've seen a few apps which say they can add a grid but they're not being entirely truthful.
It needs to be a Google app as they won't allow any others to be downloaded to the phone.
I virtually always have a painting/drawing project on the go, along with my proper job projects, but the grid thing is something I've been wanting for a while as it makes things easier. I'm alright at copying but need a lot of practice to improve my painting skills. I do enjoy Sky's Portrait artist competition, I think there has been about 8 series now - 3 celebrities each episode are painted by I think 4 artists each. Probably very similar format to the baking and sewing contests on telly, but I find some of the artists and their techniques and their achievements really uplifting and encouraging.
