When you retire, you switch bosses - from the one that hired you, to the one that married you.
Re: Never
Just brought home a Song Thrush fledgling. It was sitting against my step daughter's fence for two hours sapping wet. I left it as long as I could but there was no sign of the parents. Wee thing was soaking and decision was made when a neighbours cat noticed it.Davycc wrote:Lots of films and TV shows I couls safely say but I'm going for.
Never been able to ignore an injured animal. No mater what is was. Been late for work numerous times, missed a wedding (not mine), got ticked off by Traffic Police. I just can't leave it.
Doing my best for the wee thing, hoping it's just cold but not holding out hope.
EDIT
Woke this morning to chirping and found the wee thing very much perked up. Took it up at 6.30 to the step daughters garden and let it out of the box. If flew 50 yards up into the tress and disappeared. Result.

I can no longer say I’ve never done a McDonalds drive through with the daughter earlier after a food shop at M&S as I’m flying solo for a couple of days. Actually enjoyed my plastic burger & fries washed down with a banana milk shake
