We're currently watching Catherine Cookson Tilly Trotter. Nice easy viewing and some decent acting from Simon Shepherd and Carli Jo Norris.

Tour de France started today. Probably seems boring to most, but when you understand all that is going on it's just as exciting as F1 (which I love) or a decent footie match.
And for those who missed the opener … Froome crashed again.

Not a great follower of cycle racing, doesn't mean I don't appreciate the fitness levels and mental strength needed.Birdbrain wrote:Tour de France started today. Finished watching 'Safe' on Netflix last night.
Gripping drama with loads of unexpected twists and turns.
It's written by Harlan Coben who is mine and Mrs PW's fave thriller writer.
Can highly recommend it, if you like that sort of thing.

Love Mr Coben.
I take it you've read Tell No One ?
Got to be his greatest work.
I like the Bolitar novels, but that one really stood out for me.
Decent French film made of it too, though they changed one character massively which spoilt it a little for me. The fact Kristin Scott Thomas is in it restored a certain balance though

Anyone else watch that 2 part documentary called Prison? The second part about mental health was particularly poignant.

I'm not a big TV watcher but Bletchley Circle: San Fransisco is a fast moving and, at times, humourous Transatlantic drama
Might have to take an interest in the Premier League now....
