I love her.

It's her eyes, her style, her confidence, that mouth ... but above all, her attitude.

You know she's a wrong-un, but you can't help but want her.

You know when (so many) women go for the bad boy types and you can't figure out why, saying it must be the element of danger ?
Well, she's our bad boy blind spot ...

Look at that last picture in particular.
Hers is an unusual, ethereal beauty. I think the best word to describe Ruth Wilson is striking.

She may not be a conventional beauty, but that's WHY she stands out.
I am so bored of the manufactured look ...
I don't go for blondes anyway - my typical "type" is a petite, elfin brunette, usually foreign in appearance if not actual origin. I hardly ever go for a redhead, through experience ;)
But she's so far removed from the enhanced cover girl that you'd expect in a TV show as to be more than just a breath of fresh air - she steals the limelight every time she appears and demands your attention. Now, some of that is good writing obviously, but it's also her on-screen presence and her explosive chemistry with Idris Elba, who is a very sexy man. Anyone who can't see that, even as a man, must be blind. Put the two together and the show takes off regardless of the (excellent) storylines ...

I actually thought Mary, the other girl, was also very beautiful and again not your typical Barbie-doll stereotype, despite being blonde.

Blimey .. this is becoming a bit of a "who do you fancy" thread now, and for that I apologise, but every once in a while you've got to shout about the things you love, haven't you ? :D

Oh, and for the record: I don't enjoy period dramas - they bore the t1ts off me - so I haven't seen her in any of those Pride Abbey type shows. Judging by some of the more dodgy pictures I found, I haven't missed much as she doesn't look so good dressed up as a Victorian maid ... but then who would ? She'd probably have had consumption and been dead by 40 anyway ... ;)

Phew-I can see what you mean about Ruth Wilson-those lips indeed! There's a girl who'll never need to chew a Fruit Pastille...

Can we start a 'who do you fancy' thread, or is that a bit 'low brow' for this forum :?: I've a list the length of both arms if we do :?

I see your Ruth Wilson and raise you one Rhona Mitra....
