Perfect description SnifferSniffer wrote:I haven't the faintest idea about fishing but I agree, it's a lovely series. Gentle and drifting and laugh out loud moments. A bit like the Detectorists, in a way. Beautiful tv.kk_white wrote:2nd series now, but anyone watching Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing?
Don't need to be a fishing fan, cos Bob Mortimer hasn't a clue. But the locations around the UK are stunning and it's a weirdly addictive series.
2 funny old boys having a joke either side of heartwarming chats about their childhoods and recent bad health.
Before you frown at it, take a look - surprisingly calming influence. I watch it when the kids go to bed. Doesn't take any effort, just sit back and smile

You can watch the whole series if you have Sky. I'm up to episode 5, and it's pretty good.

Yep a good watch. I know it's a bit early and considered a Chrimbo film but am watching The Great Escape, such a classic.NottinghamWhite wrote:Sean Connery in The Rock, taped it t’other night. Excellent stuff.

BBC 2 at 9pm, Prince Andrew interview, saw snippets on the news and he didn`t come across to convincing to me.
