Watched the first of three episodes of Dracula last night. If you like your Hammer House version of horror I think you'll like this. The count is played with a very small touch of wittiness. second episode tonight and finishes tomorrow.

Really enjoyed this movie if for nothing else the stunning scenery which reminded us of our two trips to Nepal.

Re: Worth watching on telly
After today’s game, I went over the road for a ‘couple’, came home and got a few cans in the fridge and started watching the most bizarre programme where ‘celebrities’ sing in masks/costumes and I have to say I found myself making mental notes (they give clues) as to who they actually are.
I can’t work out if it’s decent trashy Saturday night tele or utter tosh.

When you retire, you switch bosses - from the one that hired you, to the one that married you.

Apparently you are joining the nation in this debate. I have yet to see it..Barlow Boy wrote:After today’s game, I went over the road for a ‘couple’, came home and got a few cans in the fridge and started watching the most bizarre programme where ‘celebrities’ sing in masks/costumes and I have to say I found myself making mental notes (they give clues) as to who they actually are.

We watched The Eagle Has Landed last night ( not for the first time ) & really enjoyed it again. Michael Caine was brilliant as Steiner, Donald Sutherland as Devlin, Donald Pleasence as Himmler but the lovely Judy Geeson is just wonderful to watch ( secret crush )

Re: Worth watching on telly
I put my foot down with the better half on this one. WTF is Saturday night telly these days without some buffoons (not the kids) singing or dancing? I couldn't take the gimp mask bit it broke me, I swear i'd prefer the Generation game back on. She has recorded it by the way and will watch it when i'm at work.Barlow Boy wrote:After today’s game, I went over the road for a ‘couple’, came home and got a few cans in the fridge and started watching the most bizarre programme where ‘celebrities’ sing in masks/costumes and I have to say I found myself making mental notes (they give clues) as to who they actually are.

Serious stuff again from me sorry.
The BBC Storyville Doc.... Jonestown Terror in the Jungle. What a absolute crackpot Jim Jones was. The best doc i have seen on the story.
Channel 4 Catching a killer.... A diary from the grave. The true account of how the police built the case to charge a God Loving Evil Psychopath with Murder.

Watched the latest Louis Theroux yesterday, focusing on three sex workers here in the UK.
It was excrutiating at times and completely revelatory at others.
All three women felt empowered and had more self esteem since becoming escorts and yet they all seemed to be so vulnerable to me.
An interview with one of the clients was eye-opening for everyone : the man in question, the sex worker, Louis and the audience.
He's consistently brilliant and I always watch whenever he brings a new doc out.
