Enjoy its very good. Great writing by Jimmy McGovern. Bean is exceptional imho.

Watched Jeremy Clarkson The Farm. Can take him or leave him tbh but although staged i found it very watchable. The appearance of his girlfriend helped as well.

End of an era

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-57761226

We met an elderly gentleman from Paignton a couple of times in Lanzarote. He lived in the same sheltered housing as Sue Barkers mother. According to Major ( his name not his rank ;) ) SB visited her mother every week & if she was told one of the other residents was feeling under SB would pay them a visit to cheer them up & check there was no shopping etc they needed. A proper lady apparently.

Afraid I won't be watching the new series of a QoS.

Can't abide the new presenter. Don't find him funny at all.

Same - McGuinness/the Beeb are gonna try and make it smart arsed from the presenters chair...

I preferred the 'normal' host and a bit of fun from the captains.

In saying that, I stopped watching it a long time ago be cause of Tuffers - he really grated on me after a while. Maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy :x :D

Watched Midway last night 2019 version with Woody Harrelson as Chester Nimitz. Actually quite good for a US war film. Stuck pretty well to the events with a little embellishment to keep interest going. All in all a decent film.
