Finished watching The Crown last night & must admit loved it. The only people that come out of it with any credit were Harold Wilson & Princess Anne although Phil despite a few dodgy early years came across as the family sage. Wilson apparently was a cigar smoker but smoked a pipe in public to come across as a man of the people.

Just watching The Inspector Lynley Mysteries. Love anything from Elizabeth George.

Really enjoyed it. Introduced by Tom Hanks, Some of the show live from Washington, some pre recorded.
Bruce Springsteen, Katy Perry, Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters, Navy Brass Band, John Legend, a great song by some band from Austin, Demi Lavuto, even enjoyed male duo big name Country singers, and even more surprised with myself enjoying an awesome performance by three rappers in different towns singing over each other in Spanish. Every song was tasteful and seemed to suit the occasion, even when the Foo Fighters cranked it up halfway through their song.

We watched Eddie Murphy in Life last night, am a huge Murphy fan and this movie was up there.

Another Murphy fan here. Golden Child, Coming to America, Beverley Hills Cop (1&2) Trading Places & 48 Hours just to name a few. His laugh is infectious

His early films are excellent and he can be a surprisingly subtle actor. There were moments in BHC and 48 Hours when he was serious and I always wondered what he would've been like in a straight role.

His first standup film, Delirious, remains the funniest I have ever seen.
Raw was okay, but that debut was sensational.

Episode 9 as I type.

Enjoying it. Think I preferred the first two seasons, even though I remember most of season 4 happening.

Really like Phillips character in the later seasons too.

The bit about the 'house burger' ( I think it's in Raw) where his mum says she can make burgers better than McDonald's is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I watch it all the time. Never gets old.

I also love the scenes in The Nutty Professor with the whole family at the dinner table. Absolutely hilarious.
