Anyone else watching "Race across the world" on BBC2 each Sunday.

5 pairs compete to get from A to B with a limited budget and no Phone and can't fly.
This years competition started in Mexico City and they will eventually get Ushuaia (Argentina)the southern most city in the world.

Lovely city Ushuaia visited it 7 years ago. Just giving the programme now.

On Amazon Prime, Tales From The Loop.

It's based on a Swedish art book which featured rolling hills and plains dotted with robots and various bits of scrapped future tech.

Visually it's one of the most beautiful shows I've ever seen.
It's a gentle "real world sci-fi" alternate reality show that centres on a mid-west town (they moved it from Sweden, what a surprise).
Underneath the rural settlement, there's a particle accelerator - the eponymous Loop - and most of the intelligent citizens in the area work there, while the rest toil the land or live out their retirement.
Each episode is self-contained and focuses on one or two characters and whatever weird thing happens to them.
I can't tell you anything more than that for fear of spoilers, but I can say it's a cross between Stranger Things and the best bits of Lost : there's lots of unanswered questions but rather than develop an overall story arc, it's more like a lazy jigsaw. You see the same characters over and over - it's a small town after all - and they all intertwine at some point, but you don't know how or why. In many ways it's a bit like moving there yourself.

We've watched the first five of eight so far and it's utterly compelling, really sad, laugh out loud funny and highly sensitive, often all in the same episode.

Watch it in the evening after dinner, maybe with a hot chocolate and a loved one. It's okay for teenage kids - there's one episode with a little nudity and some sexual references, but other than that it's family-friendly.

No we’re only on episode 5 out of 9. Still we’re up to date & really enjoying it. Don’t really like Lizzie that much am hoping Emon & Jamiul win to be honest.

The wife had Britain’s Got Talent on last night & two of the star acts were from India & Russia how is that Britain’s Got Talent

Mrs B and I did get a little tear in the eye when the disabled children came on and sang their hearts out, David Walliams gave them his golden buzzer too

It was a very touching moment, seeing the big sister with her brother, fingers crossed they go far in the competition.
