I'd recommend The Magic Garden in Battersea if you like world music and dancing.

Cheers Mellor & Rigger will have a good look at your excellent suggestions as due to Circumstances may have a few visits to the Smoke in the coming months.

Back from London, really enjoyed the "Sunny Afternoon" show, place was about full and they really got it rocking.

Didn't get to any other music stuff, tried to get in a blues club Friday night just off Regent Street but was too busy, couldn't get through the door.

Back down but for 3 nights(Fri to Mon) in a couple of weeks time, going to do another show Saturday probably "Jersey Boys" I've been informed by my significant other (but she also fancies a Motown one or "Beautiful" which is about Carol King).

Had a look at Ronnie Scotts (thanks Mellor for suggestion) this morning before going to Kings Cross for the train back and am planning the Sunday Lunchtime set on our next trip so we can visit the legendary club.

I have seen Jersey Boys SW, really enjoyed it, great music that gets the audience up and joining in.

I've got a superb week of music in store for me !!

On Thursday night I'm on the guest list for Lee "Scratch" Perry and Mad Professor at The Brook, Southampton 8-)

Then, on Saturday night I'll be watching Parov Stelar doing their electro-swing thing in London :D

"I'm gon' put on a' iron shirt and chase Satan out of eart' "

THIS ONE ! This is the dub sound I love ..

The Professor remixed Massive Attack's Protection album in full ..

Electroswing in full effect, Parov stylee ...

I'll be going full jazz, clothes-wise on Saturday night :ugeek:

Oh, and here's my own Parov Stelar mix :

Any of the music guys on here know anything about (or seen them) Ian Siegal or Jimbo Mathus.

They are at Selby Town Hall in May so booked a couple of tickets.
