Read an interview recently with Hall and Oates.
They were talking about all the people they'd worked with and met over the years and said the best moment was with Jacko at some awards show. He told them he was a huge fan and actually apologised to the two of them for ripping off I Can't Go For That (No Can Do) with Billie Jean.
They looked blankly back at him and said "What ??" but when they got home they played both songs and it all fell into place.

When I read that, I immediately loaded up both songs on VirtualDJ and he's right - it's the same beat, same tempo, same rhythm completely.

Amazing.
