I'll certainly be around for the Euro semifinals, but ... we go away for hols on Friday for just over a week. And what I have to comment is that we're going to very high mountains (4,500 ft up!) to a remote rural country house - nearest neighbouring house is over 2 kms away, nearest shop half-an-hour drive! No internet, no mobile coverage, nothing!!! ...

So the day after the final I'll need to get to a village with wifi available to be able to update the final details of the "Euros Prediction Score" game - should be able to do it, but if it were a day or two late don't panic!!!

First things first though, and the QuarterFinal points go up tonight, and early tomorrow morning the SemiFinal info will be up to (and to say more game points will be on the table for for SFs and final, plus bonuses)

SEMI-FINALS: Note INCREASE of points system for these very important matches!! These are worth considering in detail before committing yourselves. As there are only TWO matches this stage it will mean that some people will jump right forward with two accurate guesses, but others not make much of a points addition! So the opportunity arises to move up many places in the overall listing!


To be precise … POINTS to be gained -

EXACT SCORE with correctly named winning team 10 points

RIGHT RESULT and winning goal margin correct (e.g. you say a team wins 3-1 but it finishes 4-2, or 2-0) or a draw 'one goal out' (e.g. you say 1-1 but it is 2-2) 7 points / or you have the right result and the winning team score the EXACT amount of goals as you say (e.g. you say a team wins 3-1 but it finishes 3-0, or 3-2) 7 points

RIGHT RESULT but winning/draw/goal margins out 5 points

WRONG RESULT - however you correctly give the exact goals scored for one of the two sides (e.g. you say a team wins 2-1 but it finishes 2-4, or you give a 2-0 win but it finishes 2-2) 3 points

WRONG RESULT but reward for an entry! 1 point

We are looking at FT at 90 mins if a result produces a winner, OR at 120 mins of play (end of Extra Time) regardless if the game produces a result or goes to penalties – meaning that the 120 mins score is the DEFINITIVE for the purposes of this game so this could be a draw (therefore penalties are NOT counted as part of this game ... )

BONUS – give the half-time score: correct exact scores have a bonus of two points each game!

+ Postponed or Abandoned? In this unlikely event the game is void, but you are awarded two points for the inconvenience!
