FA Cup 5th Round Scores Game (2015-16)

Here’s a fun competition, and it’s a one-off game, so make a prediction and then sit back and enjoy! It’s a game orientated to a few special friendly forums, namely:

Reading - Royals Rendezvous
Blackpool - Back Henry Street
Peterborough – The Posh Forum
Sunderland – Black Cat Chat
Newcastle – Toon Forum
Watford – WFC Forums
WBA – Baggies Zone
Leeds – LUFC Talk
Liverpool – Talk the Reds
Bournemouth - CourtOffside

For this round it’s EXACT scores. Experience tells us that it’s slightly unstable doing ‘FA Cup Upsets’ as in the previous rounds. Why? Because there are usually too few ‘minnow’ teams (no disrespect) getting through to this stage, and still fewer upsets themselves. So from now on the format changes … but is equally fun.

Have a look at the matches underneath and just give the full-time scores, as you see it going, for just FOUR (matches of your own choice) of the 5th Round games coming up. Replays never come into it, we are looking at only the initial match…

POINTS to be gained per game...

EXACT SCORE with correctly named winning team 6 points

RIGHT RESULT and winning goal margin correct (e.g. you say a team wins 3-1 but it finishes 4-2, or 2-0) or a draw 'one goal out' (e.g. you say 1-1 but it is 2-2) 4 points

RIGHT RESULT (but winning/draw goal margins out) 3 points

WRONG RESULT but reward for an entry! 1 point

+ Postponed or Abandoned? In this unlikely event the game is void, but you are awarded two points for the inconvenience!

Editing of any of the 4 predictions is allowed up to kick-off time of the first match played but then are counted as definitive ... but it is YOUR responsibility to tell me on the thread or by PM!

a reminder of what matches we are talking about, just need FOUR games of your choice:

Arsenal v Hull
Reading v West Bromwich Albion
Watford v Leeds United
Bournemouth v Everton
Blackburn v West Ham
Tottenham v Crystal Palace
Chelsea v Manchester City
Shrewsbury v Manchester United

Please put the score without confusion! E.g.
Arsenal v Hull 2-1
Shrewsbury v Manchester United 0-3
Etc.

Points and the placings for this comp will appear on this thread within a couple of days after the last match for this round has been played … I’ll give both the complete points for your forum, and the top dozen overall positions on all forums together for even more prestigious bragging rights!

Good luck!

over 40 entries now in ..

it breaks down as follows:
Watford – WFC Forums 13
Reading – Royals Rendezvous 7
Blackpool – Back Henry Street 5
Leeds – LUFC Talk 4
Newcastle – Toon Forum 4
Peterborough – Posh Forum 4
Sunderland – Black Cat Chat 2
W.B.A. - Baggies Zone 1
Liverpool – Talk the Reds 1
Bournemouth – CourtOffside 1

As before, I'd ideally like at least 6 from each forum for your own forum competition. And then ... those with most are more likely to hog the overall high placings so keep them coming in!

Remember -
Absolute deadline is Saturday at 12.44 just after mid-day (the following minute Arsenal v Hull kick off)
