FA Cup Q-F Scores Game (2015-16)

Post by daib0 »

FA Cup Quarterfinals Scores Game (2015-16)

Here’s a fun competition, and it’s a one-off game, so make a prediction and then sit back and enjoy! It’s a game orientated to a few special friendly other forums too, namely:
Reading - Royals Rendezvous
Blackpool - Back Henry Street
Peterborough – The Posh Forum
Sunderland – Black Cat Chat
Newcastle – Toon Forum
Watford – WFC Forums
WBA – Baggies Zone
Leeds – LUFC Talk
Liverpool – Talk the Reds
Bournemouth - CourtOffside
West Ham – Cockney Boys

This is an exact score competition, so just give the full-time scores as you see it going for ALL FOUR quarter-final games coming up. Replays never come into it, we are looking at only the initial match

POINTS to be gained ...

EXACT SCORE with correctly named winning team 6 points

RIGHT RESULT and winning goal margin correct (e.g. you a team wins say 3-1 but it finishes 4-2, or 2-0) or a draw 'one goal out' (e.g. you say 1-1 but it is 2-2) 4 points

RIGHT RESULT but winning/draw goal margins out 3 points

WRONG RESULT but reward for an entry! 1 point

+ Postponed or Abandoned? In this unlikely event the game is void, but you are awarded two points for the inconvenience!

Editing of any of the 4 predictions is allowed up to kick-off time of the first match played but then are counted as definitive ... but it is YOUR responsibility to tell me on the thread or by PM!

a reminder of what matches we are talking about:

Friday 11th March – 7.55 pm KO
Reading v Crystal Palace

Saturday 12th March
Arsenal v Watford
Everton v Chelsea

Sunday 13th March
Manchester United v West Ham

Points and the placings for this comp will appear on this thread within a couple of days after the last match for this round has been played … I’ll give both the complete points for your forum, and the top dozen overall positions on all forums together for even more prestigious bragging rights!

Good luck!

Here goes for the stats from all forums with how many people see just the Reading v Palace game result (given my special interest as a Royals fan!), I only name scores where a prediction has been given:

READING WIN
1-0 = 3
2-0 = 4
2-1 = 8
3-2 = 1
3-1 = 2
3-0 = 1
19 predos in total

CRYSTAL PALACE WIN
0-1 = 3
1-2 = 5
0-2 = 5
1-3 = 2
0-3 = 1
0-8 = 1
17 predos in total

DRAW
0-0 = 1
1-1 = 16 [maximum individual score prediction]
2-2 = 2
19 predos in total

So basically - it's WIDE OPEN !!!

Today is the LAST day to post an entry, because the Reading v Palace game kicks off this evening, and once the whistle is blown no more entries can be added!

Current forum entry count, just out of interest, is:

Watford – WFC Forums 14
Reading – Royals Rendezvous 10
Newcastle – Toon Forum 7
Blackpool – Back Henry Street 6
Leeds – LUFC Talk 5
Bournemouth – CourtOffside 4
Peterborough – Posh Forum 4
Liverpool – Talk the Reds 3
Sunderland – Black Cat Chat 3
West Ham – Cockney Boys 3
W.B.A. - Baggies Zone 2

The more entries on your forum the higher probability of higher placings overall!
