Thanks everyone for being a very sporting lot. Nobody could really know how the Euros were going to turn out. Few, if any, would have had Portugal to be champions, or Iceland to be one of the best eight European teams of 2016, or indeed for Wales to be worthy semi-finalists. Most expected Spain and Italy to get at least a bit further in the competition, and for that matter I saw that a lot of people had predicted Germany would be champions, or at least finalists. But that is the beauty of football, there are always surprises along the way.

It’s been pleasurable and interesting for me too; always a bit of donkey work adding it all up, but happy to see that it’s given us a bit of fun in the close season.

I’m toying with the idea of doing something similar in 2016-17 in the FA Cup, a bit similar to this game, with all the stages (I mean each cup round) scoring points. But I’ve seen a few places where this game can be still bettered, so if some of you come aboard I promise you it’ll be worthwhile. That would start in the FA Cup first round proper around November time.



Meanwhile there’ll soon be the normal Premier League Positions game, going for many a season now together with the friendly Sunderland Black Cat Chat forum - and a little 10-Champs game which will also be offered before the main season kicks off!
