I've had a few people saying that this isn't the easiest to follow - the points system I mean. It's true, perhaps I could have made this easier to view, and promise I will improve it for a big FA Cup scores game I'm planning for 2016-17 and for which I'd be delighted to count on this fine forum once more ...

But for now, back to the Euros, just to try and be clear -
The main individual points system for every game is that BIG list of the 50+ participants. That is the most prestigious one.

Then as an extra element to the comp, each round I've also made an internal forum game, awarded the best on the forum and only on your forum, five for forum best this round, second has four forum points etc. That's where you see things around the 20-points mark. I think in the future I'll simplify this part though, and simply put Gold - Silver - Bronze placings so they are not confusing with the big overall scores which is that BIG overall list mentioned above.

Yep, I know, but being some 8 stages - as will the FA Cup next season from Round 1 to final - it gives a mini-reward for those regularly entering, possibly offsetting someone who gets lucky with just two rounds prediction, say ...

I'll get up the standard type of prediction we'll need - similar to SF with one bonus more - but I won't be around to push you as I leave on hols Friday morning early and won't look in until we have the Europeans Champions declared!!

We are looking at FT at 90 mins if the result produces a winner, OR at 120 mins of play (end of Extra Time) regardless if the game produces a result or goes to penalties – meaning that the 120 mins score is the DEFINITIVE for us so this could be a draw (therefore penalties are NOT counted as part of this game ... )

FINAL: These are the points awarded after you give your guesses of the EXACT scores. Note that the points system is now even more complete!

EXACT SCORE with correctly named winning team 10 points

RIGHT RESULT and winning goal margin correct (e.g. you say a team wins 3-1 but it finishes 4-2, or 2-0) or a draw 'one goal out' (e.g. you say 1-1 but it is 2-2) 7 points / or you have the right result and the winning team score the EXACT amount of goals as you say (e.g. you say a team wins 3-1 but it finishes 3-0, or 3-2) 7 points

BONUS 1 – HT: give the half-time score: correct exact scores have a bonus of two points. And easier - right ‘tendency’ gets you one point (i.e. the team you have winning IS winning, or it’s a HT draw with a different number of goals to what you give in your draw)!

BONUS 2 - THE FINAL GOAL: Give the time of the last goal within the FIRST 90 mins or 120 mins play (penalties after extra time do NOT count); e.g. - Last goal on 83 mins. Or for example last goal 113 mins … As per the timing given on BBC Sport we award a TWO point bonus for those within 5 minutes (inclusive) of being correct and if your goal time is absolutely spot on (as per BBC minute timing) you will receive THREE bonus points!. Goals scored in stoppage time are all calculated of being calculated at the final minute in normal play - 45 mins or 90 mins or 105 mins or 120 mins (not 90+3 mins). Therefore a guess of 85 mins would therefore include the 2-point bonus for any goal scored in stoppage time. You only name the GOAL TIME, not which team or player scores it! However if it remains 0-0 at 120 mins then this bonus is void!
