OK. This is a grand resume of all the entries for ALL forums for the ENGLISH leagues. I didn’t do Scotland or the European leagues in these stats because there were too few selections indicated in your answers.

So, according to you, the fans, the teams most likely to be CHAMPIONS of their leagues - and the total number of votes cast - were:

Premier League
Man City - 35
Man Utd - 22
Chelsea - 15
Arsenal - 9
Liverpool - 3
Tottenham - 3
Burnley - 1
West Ham - 1

Championship
Newcastle - 56
Norwich - 10
Aston Villa - 4
Sheff Wed - 4
Blackburn - 2
Brentford - 2
Brighton - 2
Leeds - 2

Half-Season Review

Firstly we have already arrived/surpassed the half-way point in 5 of the 10 leagues featured in our 10-Champs game.

These are the dates when the remaining five reach the half-way point -
League 2 - 31st December
Premier - 1st January
Italy - 8th January
Germany - 21st January
Spain - 23rd January

So the final half-way points won’t be known until then, but I have now calculated for you the five leagues (Championship, League 1, National League, Scottish Premier & Scottish Championship) which have arrived at half the number of games played, and the points for each player are as shown below. The more points the better so you are shown in order:

Selby White - Running Total 35
Frankie - Running Total 32
Mellor - Running Total 32
MOT1964 - Running Total 29 :)
Mr Russell - Running Total 28
Viduka Hits The Mark - Running Total 25
big jon - Running Total 25
NottinghamWhite - Running Total 25
White Knight - Running Total 24
ashingtonleeds - Running Total 22
Fernandopartridge - Running Total 22
Simamu - Running Total 22
rigger - Running Total 21
ChilwellWhite - Running Total 18

N.B.
In the Scottish Premier the top three placings have been awarded 10-7-4 pts although the ‘European’ placings are not totally clear for next season yet.

After ALL the English and Scottish leagues have now reached the half-way point I can now offer results of 7 of the 10 leagues being calculated; we only await the three European top leagues of Spain, Germany and Italy. And for those three most - almost all - of you will score good points, but until 23rd Jan I won’t be able to give you those complete being as Spain and Germany have a winter break so get behind on the schedules.

Here then is the latest 10-Champs league table for yourselves to chew upon or simply gloat, most points being the best. You are shown in order as we stand, already some changes from last report …

So back at the end of January on this …

Frankie - Running Total 46new leader
Selby White - Running Total 42
White Knight - Running Total 41biggest move up
NottinghamWhite - Running Total 39another good move up
Mellor - Running Total 36
Simamu - Running Total 36
Mr Russell - Running Total 35
big jon - Running Total 33
MOT1964 - Running Total 33
rigger - Running Total 32
Fernandopartridge - Running Total 30
ashingtonleeds - Running Total 28
Viduka Hits The Mark - Running Total 25
ChilwellWhite - Running Total 18

After ALL the English and Scottish and European leagues have now reached, and in most cases passed, the half-way mark. Here are the complete points collected from the first half of the season - however the BIG points are awarded at the very end of the season, so there is plenty to play for.
As we know from the initial post introduction MOST points means the best. If you want to see the exact points you are getting for each placing please go back to that initial presentation. You are shown in order of excellence as we stand …

Probably I’ll be back on this thread during these winter months with a few anecdotes as to how the leagues are going, and so you don’t forget this is talking place! …

Hi guys,

Almost end of season. Not worth a complete update, because only the Vanarama (Conference) is totally decided, including the play-offs. So I will wait for a few play-off results from other leagues first.

But just to note down that at this very moment, first on this forum is currently:

MOT1964 with 85 points

followed by Selby White with 82 points
