Gamblers Game - League Cup (new comp)

Post by Selby White »

For those that enjoy the Gamblers Games I'm experimenting with a new format which will be based on a knockout system.

This is a special which will run between the start of the season until Xmas (in parallel to our regular game), if proving a success will run our "FA Cup" during the 2nd half of the season.

Rules :-
Players will be drawn against each other and its a pure knockout event, lose and you are out until the last two are left to contest for the final.
Each week one or two matches will be played as per order in the draw (only 2 or 4 players involved each week).
Each Player will have £100 to bet on 4 selected games (using all £100).
Must bet on each match (but can choose how money is split)
Minimum amount bet on one match is £2.
The player drawn at home will place their bets by Thursday midnight.
The player drawn away will have up to kick off to place their bets.
Away player may choose same teams as home player but if so must use different amount on each match.
If a match is drawn it will be replayed with the away player becoming the home player.

Any questions just ask

If you wish to give it a go you will need to enter on this thread prior to draw which will be 1st August.

Hope to get minimum of 16 players but more are welcome, open to all forum members.

Provisional Schedule :-
Any preliminary round matches (if we get more than 16) will be played early August.
Last 16 matches - Late August/Early September
Last 8 Matches - October
Semi-Finals - Early December
Final - Christmas

If you are away or not have any internet any particular weekend let me know and I'll schedule your match to when you are ok.
