For those that have taken part in the Gamblers Game over the season which format do you prefer ?
1. Our regular 2018 format using your initial £100 along with winnings as you go until knocked out or left standing at the end.
2. The format used for the current Xmas competition (set bets to spend each round) which keeps everyone involved to the end forming a league table.

Personally think the Xmas format is best because it keeps everyone involved.
Have ideas to improve and make final positions more important.
Make it like a Motor Grand Prix with numerous competitions all counting towards a final table.
eg, Winner 25pts, R/U 18pts down to 10th place getting a point (using the GP points system).

Really enjoy both formats but agree that the xmas setup keeps people interested even if it is just not to be in the relegation battle

I'm with the Xmas format. Like it has already been said, it keeps everyone interested and even if you have a terrible set of forecasts there is a chance to make it up with the next set.
There's light at the end of the tunnel and the future's looking very bright indeed.

Love the idea of a season-long competition that over-arches everything elseSelby White wrote:Personally think the Xmas format is best because it keeps everyone involved.

If poss, I'd have the bread and butter weekly league matches as the mainstay with FLC, FAC and CL cup competitions running concurrently.
Give more weight to the league but still award points for the cups, maybe like this :
League : 1st place - 75 points; 2nd -54; 3rd - 45; 4th -36; 5th - 30; 6th - 24; 7th - 18; 8th - 12; 9th - 6; 10th - 3
All three cups (each) : 1st place - 25 points; 2nd -18; 3rd - 15; 4th -12; 5th - 10; 6th - 8; 7th - 6; 8th - 4; 9th - 2; 10th - 1
(points system nicked from F1)

Voted for No 2, keeps people interested for longer and it looks so good having that much money in the kittySelby White wrote:For those that have taken part in the Gamblers Game over the season which format do you prefer ?

Owners come and go but Leeds United will be there forever, for the fans - keep Marching on Together.

If we get enough players will there be two leagues with relegation / promotion
