Palace 0-1 was my first ever game, remember the Malcolm Alison chant & If I remember rightly Peter Taylor (Palace ) was 1 of only 2 players I can think of who played for England with a 3rd division team, other being Steve Bull

Think I'm correct in saying both Taylor & Bull actually scored on their England debuts.

1. Which player was an unused Sub in the 1970 FA Cup Final in both matches ?
Mick Bates well done NW

2. In 1971 we drew twice in the Fairs Cup final scoring twice at Juventos and once at home to win on away goals.
Which 3 players scored our goals ?
Madeley & Bates in Turin and Clarke at ER

3. Who led the community singing prior to the 1972 FA Cup final (and what colour suit did he wear ) ?
Tommy Steele in a White Suit, remember the Leeds fans singing "Tommys dressed in White, E-i-addio Tommys dressed in White"

4. Who did we beat in the 1973 FA Cup Semi-Final and on which ground ?
It was Wolves at Maine Road, 1-0 Billy got it.

5. Started the season going a record (at the time) 29 league games unbeaten, Where did we lose our first game ?
Stoke 3-2

6. Which 4 teams did we beat to get to the 1975 European Cup Final ?
FC Zurich, Anderlect & Barcelona yes,
The other team we beat wasn't Ferencsvaros as MW suggest, right city though but it was their Budapest rivals Ujpest Dozsa.

7. Which 3rd division team put us out of the 1976 FA Cup at Elland Road ?
Crystal Palace with Malcolm Allison in charge in his big Fedora (song of the the day from the Leeds fans "8 gallon hat and a two pint head")

8. In the 76/77 season we had four Welshmen in our squad, Name them ?
Well don Mr R all four correct Harris, Yorath, Stephenson & Thomas.

9. Who was our top scorer in the league in the 77/78 season (with 20 goals) ?
Ray Hankin

10. Which team did we play away twice in the FA Cup in 1979 ?
Was indeed West Brom drew 3-3 on the Tuesday had to go back on the Thursday (my boss at work wasn't happy), reason we had been ordered to play our home FA cup matches away due to crowd trouble the previous season versus Man City)
For the record we also played West Brom in the league the Saturday before.

11. Back in Europe in 1979 but which two teams did we play in the Uefa Cup ?
Again well done MR R, Valletta City & U Craiova

12. Which Year did the Scratching Shed get knocked down ?
1974 following our last home match v Ipswich so that historic stand finished on a high note as we were champions. Still had to travel to QPR to celebrate.
I thought Terry Yorath left for Coventry in the summer of 1976.

You are indeed correct Westminster however he was sold in August but was initially registered with us so in our squad during that season.

Here is the squad photo taken just before the season kicked off (Aug 21st) -

Right you are, I can see Yorath there right next to Bremner (who would also be on his way soon thereafter).

I still maintain we should have kept Terry Yorath. Currie and Yorath would have been a good midfield combination in the late 70s. Stick Harris and Graham either side of them and it looks strong. I'd have kept Trevor Cherry in defence.
