So who is our budding Daley Thompson as the next prediction game is aimed at finding our best all rounder
Open to all forum members, give it a go.

Of course it will be over 10 rounds based on the events of a Athletics Decathlon but with times and distances decided by how well you predict football matches.
Specific Rules for each round will be issued each week.
Points will be awarded as per your time or distance using a decathlon calculator -

The 10 rounds will be of course - 100 metres, Long jump, Shot put, High jump, 400 metres, 110 metres hurdles, Discus throw, Pole vault, Javelin throw, 1500 metres.

Clear as mud but should come apparent with each round rules.

Round One - 100metres

Select 10 teams (one for each 10 mtrs) to win from the FA Cup 3rd round Matches from Fri 8th to Mon 11th Jan (90 min score).
You will get a time based on whether your team wins, draws or loses as follows -
Prem Teams - Win 1.1sec - Draw 1.3s - Lose 1.5s
Championship Teams - Win 1.05s - Draw 1.25s - Lose 1.4s
League One Teams - Win 1s - Draw 1.2s - Draw 1.15s- Lose 1.3s
League Two Teams - Win 0.95s - Draw 1.17s - Lose 1.25s
Non League Teams - Win 0.9s - Draw 1.14s - Lose 1.2s

Any match suspended or postponed will be allocated 1.16sec
Although if match is postponed due to Covid you may change your selection up to KO time.

Will help me doing the scoring if you can put the teams league in brackets after their name.

Your Time for 100mtrs will be sum total of all 10 teams.
Points will then calculated by using the calculator.

eg -
Teams 1, 2, 3 & 4, are from the Prem and win 4x 1.1s = 4.4sec
Team 5 from the Prem draws = 1.3sec
Team 6 from the Prem loses = 1.5sec
Team 7 from the Championship wins = 1.05sec
Team 8 from Championship loses = 1.4sec
Team 9 from L2 wins = 0.95sec
Team 10 from Non League loses = 1.2sec
Total Time for 100mtr = 11.8sec

Using the calculator this would give you 691pts.
