What's your real name and where do you live ?

Post by Deleted User 728 »

Hey

I thought we should try and get a handle on who everyone is in the real world, just to add another layer to this fantastic forum.
I've not been up for a match for a while but I want to do so in the next month or two and it would be good to be able to meet up with a few of you in the pub.
It might also facilitate a few lifts to games, too. It's very expensive driving up on my own, and as my usual mate hasn't be able to make it this season I thought this might open up another chance to share the cost, too.

So .. my name's Paul, I'm 48 and I live in Southampton.

I'm Mick 56 years young (for a few more days) and as it says in the name live in Selby.

Was an Electrical engineer in a previous life but have now taken early retirement with the help of a redundancy package. Nowadays play Table Tennis, Golf & Pool but have many other interests from gardening to doing jigsaws. Love travel and do lots of holidays each year, trying to see as much of the world as i can.

Enjoy all sorts of music but if described as fan of any particular style would be Blues.

Hi all - believe it or not I'm Phil. I live In North leeds and have done so for much if my 52 years. My knees are knackered from too much 5 a side but I still play (after a fashion) as you're a long time dead aren't you. Just been skiing in Austria for a week after a 35 year break from the sport - can't believe I survived without ending up in plaster!

Lifelong Leeds fan and have had a season ticket since 1996 when I could finally afford it! Sit with a great bunch of people in the family stand - a legacy of going with my sons and late Dad who loved the football but came from a gentler era when opposition fans and home fans sat together in perfect harmony - guess that gave me my own view of how the game should be played. One great thing about this forum- friendly fans from other clubs contribute - the way it should be.

Sadly, I grew up in the era of hooliganism .. wish I knew what you meant :(

The closest I get to any of that now is going to see matches as a neutral - which is probably why I do it so much.

Born and raised in Liverpool, supported Everton. Moved to Leeds aged 15, played for Leeds United Juniors. Did National Service in Singapore and Malaya. Got married in 1959, moved south in 1969. Moved to Lincolnshire in 1975 and back to Maidenhead in 1982. Retired in 1999. Play golf and snooker but may not continue the golf this year, dodgy knees and dodgy most things. 4 children and 4 grandchildren.
Age 78 for another few days. Name, for those not good at cryptic clues = John.
I once played against Don Revie.
