tinypic is a good option too. Upload the picture to them and they provide a link that is simply copied and pasted into the forum post.

You can just use a free service, and I would recommend Postimage.org : http://postimage.org/
Instructions :
1. Click on the link
2. Browse your machine for the picture you want to upload (so you'll need to save it to your computer if you haven't done already)
3. Click on the "Upload" button
4. Click on the actual picture, once it appears after being uploaded
5. It'll then open in another tab
6. Right click it and "open image in a new tab" (if you do that on the previous screen, you'll only open a thumbnail)
7. Right click the URL (address bar) and copy the web address
8. Paste it into the "Img" tool (between the square brackets) in your message
I think I'll sticky this so we don't have to answer it every month like we seem to be doing at the moment :ugeek:

Re adding images.
If they are on your pc etc https://imgbb.com/upload is a very easy site to use. Once you use the link to upload your pic you then simply copy (BB code full link is the one to use ) the code and paste it into your post.

Is there a best size width for images to ensure that they don't get cropped on some screens/browsers?

I use imgur.com but I haven't got many of the image sizes right so far

I use https://imgbb.com/upload
you can choose thumbnail or full size. I've never had an image cropped. It's easy and no account needed.
Once your image uploads just select either of the BB codes options from the Embed codes options and paste that into your post.

Thanks for that Davy, I’ve struggled in the past posting images but that was dead easy
