You're right, but that's mainly because I work odd hours and delete most of it while you sleep ;)

Nah, we're lucky really.

Not just with spam, either. I remember modding the Champ Manager boards 15 years ago and there were so many prize nuggets on there. It was the most popular online forum in the country at one point and there were loads more WUMs than we ever get in here.

I take it our new moderator is now in charge of the LUFC TALK twitter account :D

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I've just had a look at the list of Administrators and Global moderators and seen a member called bgd in both.

Unless I've missed something, I'm fairly certain that I've not seen his or her name in either list in the past.

They also appear to only have ever made one post on this forum, on January 4th this year.

Can someone enlighten me please as to who they are, and how they've become both an Administrator and a Moderator?

Thanks.

According to the list of members bgd joined on 08 Nov 2013 at 11:46 and has made 19 posts. One of the more shy and retiring members perhaps but no doubt a valued and trusted Admin and Mod. ;)

Just to clarify bgd is very much involved in the admin of the forum. He's the one that does much of the design work and is currently putting measures in place to try stop the spate of spam we've had recently.
I wasn't around at the time but believe he was one of the original members that set the forum up.

He dropped away from regular posting as a member a few years back (you may remember his original name Bogdan an account now deleted) due to outside commitments.

The profile bgd is so he can still be chief admin and do the key technical stuff when problems occur that rest of us can't sort.

Very much a key member that keeps the forum going.

Funnily enough I almost asked if it was Bogdan. :)
Keep up the good work. It's all very much appreciated.

There's a lot of stuff involved to keep the site running & some very technical stuff goes on behind the scenes, way too complicated for someone like myself. As every one is aware we were inundated with spam, to the point we're still not letting new members join. A lot of the spam contained pornographic images, not what we want on this forum.

bgd has the expertise to get things up & running again like it's was but it'll take a little time. Bogdan & Sheppy set up this forum in 2008 but no longer are involved due to work pressure.
