New member from Denmark

Post by John Dane »

Hello everybody.
First of all: Coming from Denmark I want to apologize for my language, spelling and use off strange phrases...

Some months ago our Danish Fan-webside closed and the (few) members moved to use Facebook, which I don't fancy. Instead I have read your webside for some time and I like it very mouch and would like to be a member.

And I am not a Leeds-fan because of Casper Sloth - or Kasper Schmeichel or Casper Ankergren! I am a Leeds-fan because I in 1960-something, wathing English soocer on TV, told my father, that I liked "the ones in the white shirts"!

And by the way: We do have excellent players in Denmark not called C/Kasper :lolno:

I am looking forward to discuss with you all.

Hey John
Welcome aboard !

I've got a soft spot for all things Danish - yours has always struck me as being a very civilised country. Anyone that makes bacon their national export is alright by me ! :D

Also, one of my best friends married a half-Danish girl - her mum's a Dane - and on their wedding day, the family came over and they'd written a song for the happy couple which they got up and performed for everyone. As my mate's from Liverpool (Everton fan) they composed it to the tune of Yellow Submarine and it went down a storm even though it was in Danish and none of us could understand a bloody word of it !
Your boys can drink beer, eh ?? :o

I once got royally pissed with a Danish pub landlord. It was the night you won the Euro's and I'd gone to a bar where I DJed on Saturdays for a quiet drink with some friends. As it was a Sunday, they left one by one, till it was just me and him with the football on .. we had the entire pub and a big screen and I think I phoned in sick the next day. Love Stig Tofting - what a nutter ! :D

***PEDANT MODE ON***

:ugeek: I think you'll find that's a grammatical error rather than a spelling mistake :ugeek:
