My brother Stephen was Secretary of the Harrogate branch of the Supporters Club some time back. I can't think of anyone called Eric from Starbeck. I have not actually lived there since 1974 but most of my family do.

Chris

I moved to Leeds from Liverpool in the year you were born. The year you started watching Leeds (1965) I was playing for Harrogate Town!
Used to get the train from Leeds to Harrogate and walk across the Stray to Wetherby Lane for home games. Great post Chris, some sad times also. Welcome to the site.
I once played against Don Revie.

My Grandad lived at Butler Road, Billton. I used to go with a similar bunch of lads from Starbeck home and away.
Grew up in my Dads Greengrocer Shop on King Edwards Drive, then moved to Church Avenue when he retired , got married & lived at Cecil Street& then Cavendish Street.
Now a regular visiter to Starbeck to see my Mother In Law.
Mad Eric always wore a long green jacket & was singled out & picked on by all, unfairly in my opinion.

Gosh my Grandma is bound to have shopped there. Are the Hairy Mountains still there?
