Hello.
Been reading posts on this site for some time.
I've been a Leeds fan since childhood, when I was old enough to know the difference between rugby league and football! Coming from East Hull I used to argue with my next door neighbour that Hull KR were better than Hull City (I was about 5 years old)and as soon as I learned a bit about football I became a Leeds fan. I think what did it was seeing a team in white being robbed in a game against Chelski or Everton in a cup match (not the 1970 final).
My first match at Elland Road was against Liverpool in October 1973. Mick Jones scored the winner in front of 44,911 fans and I found it spellbinding though I think I spent more time watching the Gelderd End from the Lowfields. I started going to away games a year or so later.
Over the years I've lived in various places including over 10 years down south and 10 years in Spain. This has limited the games I've been to over the years but I've had some great times and been to over half the ground in the football league.
Hopefully I can give the odd useful comment to the forum.
MOT, Mark.

Welcome
Reckon the Chelsea robbery was the cup semi at Villa Park. Two perfectly good goals ruled out, the commentary is a classic "He's disallowed it and they will need to read the rule book backwards to find a reason why".

Without the technology of today you have to think the offside decisions in that game were the best that could be made.Selby White wrote:Welcome
