1. Going to my youngest daughter in Flackwell Heath. She does look after us.
2. 1947 Almost a foot of snow. Me and my brother went to midnight Mass for the first time. The snow was so thick that it acted like sound-proofing. It was silent and the orange sodium street lights gave a magical effect. When we got home, Dad said go and have a look at the Christmas pudding. We went into the living room and there, in the middle of the table, was a stand with a cloth over it. We moved the cloth and there was a brand new proper football. Don't know where Dad managed to get it just after the war. No one had a new football. I stood there and cried.
3. Don't see many games so difficult to say. Someone who can control a game from mid-field I would guess.
4. Snooker room.
5. University Challenge.
6. No, too much experience of breaking them.

None as of yet, just looking to switch off and recharge with the time off. Starting a new job role in the New Year, so a chance to recharge at Christmas before that begins is very much welcomed.
2. What is the best Christmas you've ever had ?
Probably enjoyed Christmas more as I've gotten older to be honest. The last few years of Christmas Day at home and then going out on Boxing Day for a day session have been brilliant. The effort my parents put into Christmas growing up was unbelievable, always made sure my brother and I had everything.
3. With the January transfer window just around the corner which position (just one) in the team do you think is our biggest priority to strengthen ?
Tough one this. I'm split between a GK and a striker. But if it's only the one position, I'm going for a striker. I just can't see who is going to score before the game kicks off, as opposed to last year knowing that Wood was more than likely going to grab the goal for us if we scored. Need someone to bag 20+ goals to have half a chance of going up. Striker for me please.
4. If you had a spare room in your house and the cash to convert it to whatever you wanted what would you go for :-
a- Gym - with all the equipment
b- Games Room - Pool table, darts, board games, etc
c- Office/Study/Library
d- Home Cinema
e- Other
Games Room. All day long. Snooker table, pool table, darts board, video games etc. Id have a couple of those racing simulation games you see in the Arcades too, where you sit the seat and race others. I'd have a smart bar in there too. I honestly don't think I'd see sunlight again if I had the cash to build this!
5. If you could be a contestant in any TV game show what would it be ?
Deal or No Deal. Opening boxes for money?! Easy.
6. Will you be making any New Year resolutions ?
Probably not. If I hadn't of quit smoking a few month ago, it would probably be that.

303 via Salisbury usually.
Tried the cross-country and I didn't like it as much as the 303 is such a great, straight road. It's just getting to it from Southampton that's the pain ..

I was only 23 at the time
- 11 actually, and already football daft. Everything took second place to football. My Nan bought me a proper pair of football socks that same Christmas. The fact that they were red and navy blue hoops and not Everton blue and white didn't bother me. I wore them every day (and night) for about a week. Where would we be without memories. It seems only like yesterday.

1. Always spend time with my parents, brother and sisters and their families. In the old days there'd be 20 odd of us around the table, nowadays we tend to eat out during the day and have a fun evening at one of my sister's.
2. I had many a great Christmas when I was young. My parents always made it special and memorable for all of us though we never had a lot of money. I remember getting my first ever Leeds top and wearing it for 'games' at school, the football game Striker was amazing, I played it for hours with my mates. Great great days growing up.
3. We really need strengthening in a few areas but if you've got someone to put the ball in the net in tight games then you're gonna be up there. We need a proven English goalscorer not someone from the Latvian league or similar who we're taking a punt on.
4. I really need a room for my records and CD's and all my DJ equipment and Quiz papers are all over the place so an office combined with room for my music collection would be ideal.
5. Well I'm an absolute Pop Quiz buff and fanatic and I co produced Mike Read's Pop Quiz when it came back on the red channel but there are no Pop Music based Quizzes on TV so that's disappointing. Of the others I'd say Only Connect as I enjoy the format but General Knowledge is really not my bag.
6. Never made one, don't intend to start now.

Will finish my shift at 7am, so home to open presents then a few hours sleep before making dinner for when the in-laws come round about 5pm. The roles are reversed on Boxing Day when we go round to theirs. It's only a 10 minute walk and my father-in-law likes getting the whiskey out and tries to get me fairly drunk on it

2006, a month before I turned 40 I treated myself to Christmas and New Year in Malta on an all inclusive holiday at a spa hotel. Cost me an absolute fortune but was worth it and trying to save up to go back for the wife's 50th, but she doesn't know it.

A new striker that is mobile and can finish instead of one but not the other

Games room for my signed shirts and fill it with arcade games & pinball machines

Probably The Chase as I can answer most of the questions. Tipping Point has easier questions but depends too much on luck rather than just general knowledge

Sounds like a perfect Dickens Christmas that John. Commercialism has taken most of the fun out of Christmas. Some family's putting themselves into debt so they can keep up with the Joneses doesn't appeal to me.
It's only a 10 minute walk and my father-in-law likes getting the whiskey out and tries to get me fairly drunk on it.
You could always so no! Thought not.
