Well, here's my answers to Sheepys interview questions:

1. Whats your favorite quote/saying?

"It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done." From A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens.

2. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you pick?

Canada. Probably in the Banff/Jasper area.

3. If you could bring back one ex player from the past 6 seasons, who would you pick?

This is a tough one. It's any one from possibly four (Gradel, Snodgrass, Beckford, Delph). I'll go for Snodgrass, but only just. (It certainly wouldn't be Clayton. :o

4. What would you rather have - a mundane job with a high salary, or a job that is interesting put poorly paid?

No doubt about it. Go for the money every time.

5. Whilst you read this, can you tell us who is the nearest person to you?

The window cleaner.

6. Tell us what your favourite meal is.

Fish, chips and mushy peas. Should have said pies really, but they would be a very close second. :D

7. Can you remember your first crush?

Yes. A girl named Mandy Sharpe when I was about 8 years old.

8. Who, in your opinion, is the greatest ever comedy character?

Another tough question. It's hard to narrow it down to one. Top three would be Basil Fawlty (Fawlty Towers), Rigsby (Rising Damp) and Norman Stanley Fletcher (Porridge). The top one being Fletcher..........but only just.

9. Which club do you think will be this seasons dark horses in the Championship?

Possibly Derby, with a strike force of Beckford and Russell. If they start firing on all cylinders they will score for fun.

10. What is your biggest regret in life?

Getting a job at 17, and not taking up the option to go to university.

Thanks to Sheepy for taking the time to compile the questions.

Well here we go

What 'thing' about the internet do you find the most impressive?

The sheer amount of information available at any one time and the any ways to obtain it. Amongst many other things I have repaired central heating at 3am on a cold January morning by “Googling” the problem. Used properly it’s a wonderful thing.

Which player would you tell Brian McDermott to sell?

Toss up between Danny Pugh and Michael Brown. I honestly don’t think either have ever served us badly but looking through the squad they are the two I would least mind losing. Choosing one of them I’d go for Michael brown simply because I still think given a chance Pugh could fill a role as a squad player and is that bit younger.

Do you believe in anything supernatural?

No , I’m a bit of a need to see it to believe it type of person and so far I haven’t seen it. (Don’t want to be proved wrong though some night)

If you could have a meal with any three famous people, who would you pick?

Winston Churchill, A man with many faults but one who held a nation together and turned defeat into victory. Yes with a little help for the USA eventually
.
Gene Hackman. Such an actor, voted most unlikely to succeed in his acting class. Love people who succeed and prove others wrong.

Blair “Paddy” Mayne (Should be more famous…. See question 1 ..Google him) What stories he could tell and probably confirm my beliefs that war is not the glamorous “big Screen” image we all see.

What is your worst dating experience?

All of them ……lol. I was 17 she was 19 beautiful, the 1950’s type white woman playing the Injun squaw type beautiful, and dating a local tough guy. I heard they broke up and plucked up the courage to ask her out. I should have known on our first date that we had nothing in common (I just had the 17 year olds big ego of dating this older woman every guy fancied) but she was so dim. Our second date was with a group of fiends and it was cringing. Sorry it that sounds bad but explaining every single thing during a conversation gets tiring.

What was the first car you bought?

Bought in 1983 a Mk3 Escort, still remember the reg ALU969Y red with a black vinyl roof. Found out about 3 weeks after buying it why it had a vinyl. Parked in the works car park a colleague happened to ask who owned it and then preceded to inform me he had seen it on it’s roof outside Ayr in Scotland. Leaked like the proverbial sieve it did, terrible car.

In your opinion, what is the best ever TV gameshow?

Am loathed to say this with the obvious connection but I loved “It’s an knockout” Looking back now it was probably a childish thing seeing people fall over in silly getups.

At this present time, who do you consider to be our rivals?

Anyone in this league who are 1-4 places above or below us at any particular time.

Who have been/are your closest friends in life?

My partner is my closest and best friend. I was in quiet a bad place financially after my marriage breakup and she didn’t know it when we met but she stood by me when she realized how bad it was. She supported me until I got on my feet and am now ok, I owe her this and so much more. A friend Philip ( a scum supporter lol) was my best ever friend, we knew each other at school but only started hanging out when we found out our wives used to be friends at school, don’t see him as much now since I split with my ex but we know if we need each other we are there. And to add to the general theme of disliked teams, Sean a Yorkshire man living in Ulster …. who supports Sheff Utd, should have added his brother-in-law is Anthony Elding (remember him) now playing for Sligo Rovers .

1. What 'thing' about the internet do you find the most impressive?
For me, it's the ability to bring the world together.
Social networking and forums (and before them chatrooms such as MIRC) have cut across borders and boundaries and will continue to do so in the future. I predict that in about 20 years from now, just about everyone on the planet will be able to speak English at least as a second language. The hippy in my hopes the net will help alleviate racism and every other form of prejudice with enough time ... I know that's unrealistic overall, but it should seriously help cut it down.

2. If you had to assume a new identity and choose your own name, what would it be?
I've got French ancestry on my mother's side of the family, so I'd assume her maiden name and become Serge Peppiet (pep-ee-eh).
I'd be an international lounge jazz DJ and the go-to-guy for launch events across Europe, organising the music for all the major fashion weeks, as well as moonlighting at footballer events, such as when Rio brings out his new line in bejewelled cod-pieces for men :D

3. Which player would you recommend to Brian McDermott?

Not really a player, but more a region: send a couple of scouts to South Africa for a few months to check out the talent in the PSL. There's loads of big, strong, athletic types most of whom have a great touch and fantastic technical ability. The standard of the league isn't all that, but it's a bit like a poor man's Dutch league in that the skill levels are extremely high.

4. Do you believe in anything supernatural?
I'm a staunch atheist, but something happened to me a while back ...
My mother died in 1999 and my sister - who lives in Jo'burg - had been over a few times in the three years she was under treatment for cancer. On her return to Africa, she went to see a medium. She asked to speak to our mother, but she was literally fresh in the ground at that point, so she wasn't surprised when nothing happened. Her friend went in afterwards and my mother appeared to her and asked her to tell my sister not to worry: the cancer wasn't hereditary, but was caused when she fell off a ladder whilst decorating, landing on the bannister rod upright at the end of the stairs.
Only three people on the planet could have known about that: my sister, myself and our step-father.

5. Whilst you read this, can you tell us who is the nearest person to you?
My colleague, Julie. I should be working :)

6. You have to go on a reality TV show, you can pick between X-Factor, Big Brother and Britains Got Talent - which one do you choose and why?
X-Factor: I was singer in a band for five years.
No, scrub that - I'd go on Big Brother. People often think I'm arrogant when they first meet me, but usually end up loving me :D
I think I'd win it so long as I survived the first couple of weeks ...

7. What was the first single you bought?
Eddy Grant's Livin' On The Front Line

8. Who, in your opinion, is the greatest ever comedy character?
This is tough.
Probably George Costanza from Seinfeld.

9. At this present time, who do you consider to be our rivals?
Man U.
It doesn't matter where we are in the league. It was ever thus ...

10. What is the one physical feature that you get complimented on most often?
Without a shadow of a doubt, my smile.
