The court case has been dropped after a secret settlement between LUFC and Macron this morning:-

'Secret settlement' (of £3.5 million, Thom Kirwin has been quoted as saying that figure).

Isn't the Kappa deal worth in the region of £3million per year so if the figure quoted is correct the club is £2.5 mill better off.
Also I believe we have another 3 seasons with Kappa so another £9mill to come.

It's a bit like me changing my utilities contract, although it'll cost to get out of the current contract but over a year I'll be much better off. Same thing on a much smaller scale.

Without the actual costs of getting out (of Macron), the actual income had we remained (with Macron) and the income from Kappa over the same period it's impossible to tell if MC did well or not. Expect he did OK.

What I do remember is endless fans moaning about the quality of the Macron product. I don't hear this now. Can I assume the Kappa shirt is better?

Cost to leave Enterprise next up - are we done with inherited stuff then leaving only personal stuff for MC to tackle? Hope so.

Where have you seen it stated that the Kappa deal is worth £3m per year?

Not sure the exact figure was announced but at the time the Yorkshire Post reported (quoting Adam Pearson) it was the most lucrative in the Championship. Thats why I said in the "region of" because that's where the better deals at other Clubs fall.
I don't doubt we changed for a better offer and knew there would be a justified claim, but believe it was calculated in.
