Might be however our (Orta / Radz) loans were largely rubbish. Only Harrison who isn’t in Clarke’s class could called a success last season. Pennington, Cameron Brothwick & lassggo before

In fact our transfer dealings full stop, are really poor.
There are no guarantees!

Agreed, surprised no other english club had taken a punt before. Look at the managerial choices they had tried before TC & PH and I'm sure people could say they were rubbish. If we get a couple of inspired loan signings this year and we light up the league, that's what people will talk about.

Last year was an amazing season best since CL days (although the -15 season up to christmas was great too). I'm looking forward to this season and the prospects who will come in. Some fan will always moan as they set the bar too high, attract PL stars and be up by Christmas!!

Telegraph Sport today says Clarke signing for Spurs. Fee £10m plus add-ons.
I once played against Don Revie.

Is it £10m fee incl addons, i.e. £8.5m up front - plus we get first refusal if he goes out on loan in the first year

I read in The Guardian that it's ten up front plus £1.5m incentives and WE get first dibs if they do send him out on loan.

Selling Clarke to loan Harrison and Kent is not good business. Both have poor records in the Championship. When will we learn we need players that can get 10+ from the wing?
