Patrick Bamford
Re: Patrick Bamford
I agree he puts a shift in, it’s just the wrong shift. It’s like asking a brain surgeon to be a refuse collector for 90 minutes. I would love to be a fly on the wall at Ella d road this week

Re: Patrick Bamford
I don’t get this, he puts a shift in/works hard, surely that’s an absolute given for any professional footballer paid thousands and thousands of pounds a week ?
When you retire, you switch bosses - from the one that hired you, to the one that married you.
Re: Patrick Bamford
The only thing to get is Bamford isn’t good enough and it will cost us dearly
Re: Patrick Bamford
While I agree with folk who say our lack of goals isn't all Bamford's fault and that we need more players sharing the responsibility, I've still reached the end of my tether with him.
He can work as hard as he likes, and we all appreciate that, but the fact is it's not just that he's not scoring enough. It's that he consistently gets gifted gilt edged chances and fluffs them time and again. He has no composure in front of goal and for a lone striker, that's unforgivable. Penalty miss when we can ill afford to drop more points is the final straw.

When we signed Bamford I said it was poor business. He's a journeyman, his goals to games ratio is poor. He's not championship level - period. And to think he's one of our top earners at the club, laughable. Victor Orta has been very poor in recruitment.

it has always seemed odd to me that the manager does not decide who to buy

With the amount of crosses we deliver into the box we could do with someone who can muscle there way into a position to win a header, Bamford isn’t that player

Was thinking of visiting the Salem witch trials.
But why bother when there is a better hunt going on here.
Just hope players don't read.
