Just seen this from Pearce.

Very poor form imo. Wigan are hardly stable, sold off many key players, Chairman banned for racism, Manager under investigation, 8 points off the drop. Good riddance if that's how he feels.

Moaning prat, I don't recall many Leeds fans saying when he was dropped, "Why isn't Pearce playing"? Says it all for me, he knew his form had been poor and he was falling further and further down the pecking order.
We are Leeds, we have to believe our new players are good enough, encourage and support them and help them grow in to a team to be reckoned with. MoT

Pearce's demise is part of an overall trend within the squad and it can be seen in all areas:

Antenucci and Sharp as attacking options on the bench vs Hunt and Poleon

Cook and Mowatt vs Tonge and Norris plodding through midfield

Cooper along with an improved Wooton and improving Beradi compared to last season's defence. Looking more secure every game

Silvestri vs Kenny. For me. despite the kicking issue, a major improvement.

And just think - all this to sustain a lower league position than last time out!

(Although I'm sure we'll start to rise from here forwards)
Might have to take an interest in the Premier League now....

Good bit of business I think, we need more than just commitment going forward. Pearce got stuck in but was limited, Stick with Cooper.
Tonge and Norris need to go, along with a couple more.

Well we finished 16th last season, so no reason to believe we can't finish higher this year. :) Especially given we're closer to Blackburn in 10th than Wigan in 23rd.

That's poor, very poor, from Pearce.

Fair enough, you want to move on (we all have done in our careers at some point), but just get on with it and enjoy your new surroundings.
When you retire, you switch bosses - from the one that hired you, to the one that married you.

He thinks he deserved it based on what? Past performance is not good enough, Jason, you have to continue performing or you lose your spot. That's how it works.

I'm surprised that a 27 year old professional footballer has not learned that yet.

According to Emanuelle Guiliani or whatever his name is, Leeds are talking to Crystal Palace about Frazier Campbell.

Morning All,

Long time no post.

Campbell would be quality.
Still find it hard to believe we are not really linked or moving on any wingers, was sure this window would be the one we found ourselves linked with every winger.

Silvestrie

Wootton
Cooper
Bamba (judgment over next few weeks)
Taylor

Cook
Mowatt
Murphy/Austin
? Winger

Sharp
Campbell

to me is a good championship side with some competition on the bench.
Really need a wide man for the left - top level. Would like cook to play wide on the other side with his ability to get at people. I Do think with the emergence of 442 with wide men we have a top level front man in billy sharp. Needs wingers though or he is as well staying on the bench. Just my views. Good luck to all attending todays game.
