Leeds fans views needed

Post by StudentD »

Hi everyone, apologies for interrupting the Leeds talk,
I'm a final year student in the research stage of my dissertation project. The project is based around the under-representation of ethnic minorities in football, my research will mostly be carried out by using the views of football fans of all ethnicity and will be collected via online survey, which can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/genfan

If you could possibly spare 10 minutes of your time to do the survey it will be really useful and as the introduction page for the survey states, everything is anonymous
Many Thanks,
Dylan

Good survey and interesting topic. Every time I go to Elland Road the lack of ethnic diversity strikes me, especially compared to the diversity you see around the city itself. And the fact something like 5% of England's population is of Asian ethnicity and yet I can't for the life of me think of a single English footballer with an Asian background. I can think of a few factors which probably cause this but I always think it's a shame.

We had an Asian player once called Harpal Singh.
Might have to take an interest in the Premier League now....

Done, and I agree a good survey, much better than some we get asked to complete on here.

I'd be interested to see the results, if there is any possibility Dylan ?

I recall the name from Championship manager 2002 or something but I'm not convinced he existed as I never saw him in real life.

Cheers everyone, I appreciate the feedback.
Yeah there's only a small handful of British Asian players that play professional football in England, and a lot of them aren't first team regulars, West Brom have three brothers, surname 'Nabi' in the youth system that are looking like they might get a bit of success in the future.
If you're interested in seeing the results, send me an email on the address given on the intro page for the survey and I'm sure we'll be able to sort something out
