Hi everyone.
I shall be running the Paris Marathon this year on 12th April to raise money for the British Red Cross. On Sheepy's suggestion I will proudly be representing LUFCTALK.com, wearing their logo. They are very kindly sponsoring me £100 to do so, which is a big chunk towards the £1000 target.
If anyone would like to sponsor me, you can do so at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/DKemp
Thanks
David (birkybullufc)

Re: Paris Marathon for LUFCTALK.com
A great cause and David is running the marathon as he said kitted out in a lufctalk kit!
Even if you can't afford to sponsor him, a few words of encouragement will be appreciated, or a retweet of the forums recent tweet regarding this will help David get to his £1000 target. I'm sure David will happily keep us all upto date with how his training for this event is going!
We are proud he is running this and wearing our colours!

Good luck, mate. I expect you have a lot of hard work and training ahead, but good on you for doing this for a good cause.

Re: Paris Marathon for LUFCTALK.com
Thanks for your words of encouragement and sponsorship guys.
Started training last week which went well. It included a 1/2 marathon on Thursday just to see if my troublesome knee was going to be up for the challenge. I tore my meniscus in September. I found out last Monday that it needs surgery as a piece of the meniscus is flapping about. I'd already committed to doing the marathon though. I have been in the gym since late October building up the muscles around it, so it will be fine for the day.
Thanks again to Sheepy and lufctalk.com for the backing. Much appreciated.

Well last Monday I had my Knee Arthroscopy. It is healing nicely and I am back at the gym. Will start swimming tomorrow and should be back running by the middle of next week. Thanks again to all those who have sponsored me and just a reminder that if you would like to sponsor me, there is a link at the top of the page.

Money is a little tight for me at the minute (poor student) but I'll be able to donate at some point before the run, good luck!
