Not seen enough of Buckley myself, but know a few Brighton fans who say he`s good when he wants to be but doesn't do it enough, he also wound them up by spending a lot of the season Poyet left for Sunderland being injured and then joining them.

@Transfer_News43: Leeds United are closing in on signing Liverpool duo Sheyi Ojo and Harry Wilson on loan until January. #lufc #lfc
@Transfer_News43: Sheyi Ojo and Harry Wilsons move to Leeds have stalled as Leeds want the option to buy where as Liverpool want it to just be a loan. #lufc

Not reliable at all, think they're just taking the Mick.

It cuts down so many possibilities when you wont sign a loan player without the option to buy. I understand the business side of it but its points that get us up the ladder, not dollars. I also understand the benefits of keeping a nucleus of players together over time but surely MC can see the benefits of one or two quality loaners even if they wont be with us the season after.

I don't know if a couple of inexperienced albeit talented 18 year olds are really the answer to our left wing problems for the season ahead. If that's the route we are going down I'd rather see one of our own, Lewis Walters get a chance first. I'm still hoping we go for the proven quality option - Buckley.

@simon_orourke: Did a bit of digging.. Will Buckley is on 16k per week averaged out over a year (inc bonuses). Should be in #LUFC's range.

Two observations - Buckley from memory is predominantly right footed. May not be an issue but would prefer a left footer on the left. 2. Cellinos loan requirements- refreshing really to have a proper strategy and to think long term - not sure he is 100% correct - but in the days of bates we wouldn't have even considered buying barker, Adryan etc

Well if this is true think Leeds fans will have a little smile on their face this morning.
After years of signing 30+years old journeymen we seem to have a real purpose in the transfer market.
Whether all our players gel is yet to be seen, but our intent is definatley right, we are moving forward.
