Superstore email-outs now at spam levels !

Post by Deleted User 728 »

Anyone else getting sick and tired of the level of direct marketing that's taking place on behalf of the LUFC superstore ??
It's every other day - sometimes every single day - that I'm getting a mail-shot for some promotion or other.

Seriously, they make PPI and payday loan companies look laid back with this level of aggression.

I don't want to stop them altogether, I just think they'd be better served with a weekly, fortnightly or monthly email rounding up the campaigns for the next couple of weeks/month.

It defeats the object of marketing if you bombard, confuse and ultimately upset your target market and people will unsubscribe.

I don't know who's in charge, but I bloody well hope they read this forum.

See what Sheepey has to say & maybe as a forum we send an email outlining that we believe this has got to spam level & is having the opposite effect of what they are trying to achieve. Just me thinking out loud.

Good plan.

Would sound a bit pathetic if it was just me ;)

I don't even read them anymore, which probably backs up what Rigger says, although I do tend to take more notice of them at Christmas.

Funnily enough, I opted out earlier this week. It asks for a reason, and I said I was being bombarded with them.

I imagine if others do the same, then they may realise the negative impact of them.

Yeah, that's a fair point.
I can't honestly remember the last time I bought something online from them .. must be a couple of years, I'd guess. I normally spend some dosh when I go up though.

I've got to the point where I just ignore them now and instantly delete them.

Opting out with the reason of being spammed is a good option though...
